Origin/Maker: Arita Imari ware, Arita, Japan. Maker's mark on base imitating Chinese Ming dynasty Chenghua mark. Right side of mark is 大明萬 (Da Ming Wan)
Porcelain with marks imitating Chinese marks of the Ming period were made at the Arita kiln during the 19th century and possible both earlier and later.
Size: 1" tall (2.54 cm), 4 1/8" long (10.4775 cm), 3 1/8" wide (7.9375 cm)
Weight: 2.3 oz (64 g)

Subject: Small plate in shape of fish, painted with red, orange, and underglaze blue and white (sometsuke). Underside has blue designs of waves.
