Subject: For sale is an antique Japanese porcelain Igezara ware plate or charger. Igezara ware plates were made between 1880 - 1910. The dish is decorated with a blue and white transferware design of a Blue Willow style riverside scene and various flowers. Plate has brown scalloped edges, sometimes called the "pie crust" indicative of a Igezara ware plate. There is a makers mark stamped into the bottom of the plate and covered in glaze. Plate measures 9 5/8" in diameter and weighs 1 lb 7.7 oz. Item is used in good condition commensurate with age, see photos. Some wear and light scratches. No cracks, chips or significant damage.
