Age: Early 1900s. Meiji Period (1868 - 1912) or Taisho Period (1912 - 1926)
Origin/Maker: Sumida ware (sometimes called Sumidagawa ware), signed ISHIGURO KOKO in a gourd (hyotan) shaped mark. Sumida ware was from Asakusa in Tokyo (near the Sumida river), and they later moved to Yokohama in 1924.

Condition: Item is used in good condition commensurate with age, see photos. Several surface scratches.
Subject: Decorated with raised designs in relief of peach (momo) and pomegranate (zakuro) fruit, flowers, with a branch shaped handle. Decorated with an unusual oxblood (sang de boeuf) flambe glaze.
