Material: Glazed and Painted Porcelain
Age: Early 1900s. Meiji Period (1868 - 1912) or Taisho Period (1912 - 1926)
Origin/Maker: Sumida ware (sometimes called Sumidagawa ware). Unsigned. Sumida ware was from Asakusa in Tokyo (near the Sumida river), and they later moved to Yokohama in 1924.

Condition: Item is used in good condition commensurate with age, see photos. Some wear to painted designs
Subject: Decorated with raised designs in relief of a rakan sage and monk or priest holding incense burners, with an incense burner on a garden stone on the reverse. Partially painted and partially decorated with a flambe glaze.
