Condition: Item is used in fair condition commensurate with age, see photos. Several kintsugi (gold & lacquer repair) repairs to chips, in most cases the gold is at least partly worn away and the red tsuishu lacquer underneath is showing through. One small hairline crack. Two small chips to glaze.
Subject: Raku style ceramic netsuke of a clam shell, with maker's mark on the base and a pair of himotoshi (cord holes). With a brown black glaze against a pink white glaze. With several kintsugi repairs, with gold dust sprinkled over red tsuishu lacquer.
