Subject: A stag antler netsuke carving of a Karasu-Tengu (Karasutengu?), sitting in pine tree branches, holding a scroll. Karasu-Tengu is a mountain dwelling, martial arts wielding, bird-man Yokai.
This is one of my favorite netsuke (top 5 at least), and one prominent collector has said "One of the best, if not the best antler tengu carving I have ever seen!"
