Subject: Yokohama export porcelain plate, in Kutani style, by Kawamoto Kengo 川本健吾. With detailed painted designs of two dark dressed samurai police, brandishing jitte clubs (a symbol of the samurai police), and equipped with swords at their sides, against a man dressed in blue and green. With three white birds, trees, and mountains in the background.
