Present: Ryan Snooks collection of Japanese & Asian Decorative Art

Collected: Antique market, Saitama, Japan, 4 DEC 2024
Condition: Item is used in good condition commensurate with age, see photos. Several cracks and chips repaired with gintsugi (silver joining, silver and lacquer repaired; a similar process to the famous kintsugi (gold joining)) and one large missing piece possibly repaired with yobitsugi (repairs using similar pottery shards - note the large chipped piece has more crazing than the rest of the bowl, and has a slightly greener celadon like glaze). Several hairline cracks in addition to the silver repaired cracks. Note too that the bent shape of this bowl could be considered an original to manufacture kiln flaw, and maybe it was intended to be a flat plate or bowl instead.
