Subject: For sale is an antique Japanese Arita Imari porcelain ewer or jug, decorated in blue and white with designs in three panels of two men with parasols or umbrellas in a garden, a riverside landscape with ducks and birds in a tree and tall mountains in the background, and another of birds flying and nesting in a tree. The rest of the ewer is decorated with scrolling karakusa lotus flowers. Ewer dates to the 17th century, Edo period, 1670s-1680s. Ewer measures 8 7/8" tall and weighs 1 lb 9.5 oz. Item is used in good condition commensurate with age, see photos. No damage. Inside of ewer is dirty. No lid.
