A vase or incense burner, decorated with sculpted designs of the "Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_Sages_of_the_Bamboo_Grove) underneath bamboo stalks and leaves. Decorated with overglaze blue-green, blue, red, lavender, black, and gold overglaze enamels and paint. Bought at the Asakusa indoor antique show in February 2020, shortly before everything began shutting down due to COVID-19.
