Condition: Item is used in good condition commensurate with age, see photos. Some light wear to painted gold designs. Some original to manufacture cracks/seams, and unglazed spots.
Subject: Scholars in Chinese dress in a garden with bamboo, and a censer and books on tables. The upper part of the vase is decorated with karakusa vine patterns, chrysanthemum flowers, and tama jewels. The lower part of the vase is decorated with the Three Friends of Winter (bamboo, plum, and pine), and other traditional Japanese patterns.
